It has been reported that incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is interested in bringing West Ham left back Aaron Cresswell to the Etihad this summer.

City are hoping to land West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell (26) as a homegrown replacement for Gael Clichy.
Cresswell has been impressive for the Hammers this season and has played a key role in West Ham's surge to the top half of the table this season. Bilic has used the English defender as an attacking outlet from the left, a quality that Guardiola would like in his full backs.

The Spanish manager realizes the need for an upheaval in his future club on the basis of their performances this season. Although the club reached the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, the way they limped out of the competition and their dire form in the league has led Guardiola to the conclusion that the team needs some quality additions.

The performance of Kolarov and Clichy in the game against Southampton and Real Madrid was worrisome and Guardiola believes the signing of Cresswell can increase the competition in the full back department.
