England national team centre back, Gary Cahill has signed a new 4 year deal with Chelsea. Cahill's last contract was due to expire in the summer of 2017, but his new contract will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2019.

Speaking to Chelsea TV, the 29 year old defender said, "I’m really pleased to commit my future to Chelsea and it’s great the club has put their faith in me."

On his accomplishments with The Blues, which he joined in 2012, he added, "I have achieved a lot here and I hope I can keep on learning, helping the team and lifting trophies over the next four years."

Since joining Chelsea from Bolton Wanderers, Cahil has gone onto win the Barclays Premier League
Football League Cup in the 2014-2015 season. He has also won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and FA Cup with The Pensioners.

Cahill signed for Chelsea from Bolton Wanderers for a fee believed to be around the region of £7 million.
