Seems like Cristiano Ronaldo does not spare anyone when it comes to his skills, even when it is during a training session and the opponent is none other than his good friend Marcelo

Marcelo fell for the trick and was surprised by Ronaldo's lightning-fast feet.
Marcelo fell for the trick and was surprised by Ronaldo's lightning-fast feet. The Brazilian was left stunned.

The pair was training themselves for the El Clasico against Barcelona on Saturday. Marcelo thought that he had closed down the Portuguese on the edge of the circle.

For a moment it looked like Ronaldo had no other option and would give up on Marcelo. It was then when a flurry from his right foot opened a gap and he picked out a team-mate on the other side of the circle.

Marcelo had nothing else to do than just laugh and shake his head. He had to accept that it was beautifully done by Cristiano Ronaldo.

It seems that this season may be Cristiano Ronaldo’s last season at the Bernabeu. However, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane does not want that to happen.

Zinedine Zidane insists booing will not change his opinion of Cristiano Ronaldo
Zidane is very keen to keep Ronaldo beyond this season and has asked the Real Madrid management to reconsider their thought of selling their star player. It seems that Madrid President Florentino Perez is keen to offload the former Manchester United winger since the board believes that this could be their last opportunity to demand a huge fee for the Portuguese.

Ronaldo has not completely hit his stride this season but is still one of the best players in the world. The midfielder, who joined Madrid in 2009, has arguably been the best player in the club's history.

However, there have been reports that the striker may prefer a move to the MLS or return back to United if he leaves Madrid.

However, Zidane feels that Ronaldo still has a lot to offer to the club, who, although have qualified to the quarter finals of the Champions league, have been struggling this season in La Liga. However, with the pressure of the board certainly intensifying, it may not be a surprise if Ronaldo is no longer a Madrid player at the end of the season.

The long wait is over; final list of nominees for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2015 is out. Not surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi make it to the top three male selected candidates for this coveted trophy, joining them is Brazilian forward Neymar.

FIFA Ballon d'Or trophy of 2014
Both Messi and Neymar play for Spanish club Barcelona while Ronaldo dons the jersey of Real Madrid.

Carli Lloyd from USA, Aya Miyama from Japan and Célia Šašić from Germany are selected to compete for the women’s award.

Pep Guardiola, manager of FC Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique of FC Barcelona and Jorge Sampaoli of Chilean national team since 2012 are selected as male nominees for the FIFA World Coach of the Year.

Jill Ellis of USA national team, Mark Sampson of English national team and Norio Sasaki of Japanese national team are candidates for the FIFA World Coach of the Year, women’s national team.

Selected nominees were chosen by captains and head coaches of the men’s and women’s national teams from 207 FIFA member associations and media individuals selected by FIFA and French Football Federation.

FIFA Puskás Award is given to the player who scored the best goal of the year. The nominees for this award are Alessandro Florenzi, who scored a screamer from 50 yards for AS Roma against FC Barcelona, Wendell Lira, scoring for Goianesia against Atletico-GO and Lionel Messi, scoring for Barcelona after dribbling past the heart of Athletic Bilbao's defence.

Winners to be announced on 11 January 2016 at FIFA Ballon d’Or 2015 ceremony.

A believe so strong among the Manchester United supporters is that Ronaldo from Portugal will set foot at Old Trafford once again and this time not as an opponent, but as  one of their own.

The transfer window comes every year, just like a hurricane sweeping the shores first, rumors start with Ronaldo no longer being happy at Madrid and is set to join the Red Devils. This has now become part of tradition.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo knows where his future lies
When did these rumors really mean he is leaving?

Just like David De Gea in the summer transfer window of 2015, Ronaldo at the end of 2007-2008 Premier League season had become absolutely sure he was moving to Real Madrid. He was all over the news and despite of all the gossip, he stayed at United for another year.

The next season after losing the 2008-2009 UEFA Champions League final to Barcelona, he finally decided to join Real Madrid for a whopping 80 million pounds (a world record transfer fee then). This was the only transfer window when news surfaced in abundance about Ronaldo joining another team turned true.

Since then, every year United faithful believe that he will come back. In 2014, Los Blancos were playing at Villarreal's E Madrigal stadium, when a supporters group named United Reel went to an extent, they sent an aircraft over the stadium with the message "COME HOME RONALDO - UNITED REEL" written on the banner.

Manchester United will never forget Ronaldo, a staunch truth
Events happened this year suggesting why Ronaldo will leave Los Merengues

Is Rafael Benítez the right man?: Team manager/coach Rafael Benítez is facing heavy criticism in his short spell of 12 league games in the on-going 2015-2016 La Liga season. His defensive approach earned him initial applause, since Real looked solid at the back and were not conceding a lot of goals.

But tables have turned for Benítez, since his side succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Sevilla. A 0-4 thrashing in the El Clásico, at Real Madrid's home stadium Santiago Bernabéu certainly did not heal any wounds, and recent newspaper speculations suggest that Ronaldo is furious and has told his teammates, “Either he (Benítez)  goes, or I go”.

Florentino Pérez, the modern day Al Capone: Often a player in the footballing world is credited with the tag line, one man army. At Real Mardrid its Florentino Pérez’s way or the highway, President of this team since June 2009, was recently seen to question the loyalty of the Portuguese national team captain. Ronaldo was greeted by Perez before 2015-16 UEFA Champions League group stage tie against PSG. Perez questioned Ronaldo about his claims of moving on reported by German magazine Kicker and followed it by what seemed a slap to make him understand who the boss is. Ronaldo responded to this by raising his voice, “What did I say? I never said that. I said it differently”.

This is not a football team, it’s Galácticos: Again the protagonist is not Ronaldo but Florentino Pérez. Mesut Ozil, Clarence Seedorf, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Luis Figo, Gonzalo Higuain, Claude Makelele, Iker Casillas and Ángel Di María to name few superstars who were asked to pack their bags and leave Real Madrid. Ronaldo would not want something similar to happen to him. Recently Madrid's shot stopper Keylor Navas was used as bait to lure in Manchester United goal keeper David De Gea. Only at Madrid this could happen, if Perez says you are out, that means, you are not a Galactico anymore.

Louis van Gaal desperately in need of a hitman: 60 or more goals in each of the last four calendar years- this is Cristiano Ronaldo. LVG clearly needs a prolific striker because Manchester United is struggling to find goals. United has young potential game changers in Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard and under Ronaldo they might go on to replicate the success of Class of ’92. He might well bring back the aura of Eric Cantona United always missed.

Why Ronaldo might be happy at Real Madrid and not ready to join Manchester United?

Florentino Pérez, President of Real Madrid gets what he wants
Al Capone returns as Godfather: Vicente del Bosque, Carlos Queiroz, José Antonio Camacho, Mariano García Remón, Vanderlei Luxemburgo , Juan Ramón López Caro, Fabio Capello, Bernd Schuster, Juande Ramos, Manuel Pellegrini, José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti – 12 managers who were sacked in the last 17 years in the history of Real Madrid. Barring Ramón López, Capello and Schuster, Florentino Pérez was involved in all the casualties. These managers escaped his wrath because Pérez was hibernating from February 2006 to June 2009 (he resigned in 2006 but was reappointed as President of Real Madrid in 2009).

Lucky for some but unlucky for many – will Rafael Benítez be the 13th manager sacked. If Ronaldo wants him to go out, Perez might happily oblige given his track record.

Jorge Mendes Represents Ronaldo: Until Mendes confirms, anything and everything related to Ronaldo is false. Mendes is not only a super-agent of Ronaldo, but his best friend too. Mendes recognizes Ronaldo to be his spiritual son. They are indeed close; recently Ronaldo bought Mendes an island on his wedding. United fans, bad news for you is, Mendes recently talked about Ronaldo future to a French TV channel and he said, "It's impossible.  He will end his career at Real Madrid."

Conclusion:
Let’s see, a transfer takes time, like LVG says, it’s a process.

Real Madrid will be hosting FC Barcelona in their 230th competitive meeting at Bernebeu this weekend. Barcelona is currently at the top of the table with 27 points and Real Madrid in the second position with 24 points.

The fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the top two players in the world is undisputed. The fact that Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world is known to all. Louis Van Gaal would love to have a marquee signing to emphasis the earlier point.

Cristiano Ronaldo
The sentiments of Ronaldo towards his former club and the fact that LVG requires a winger with pace might just prove to be the catalyst for a high profile signing.

However, sports and emotions do not always go hand in hand. Ronaldo is entering his thirties and although a phenomenal player, may not be able to keep up those high standards for a very long time. Ronaldo is a legend at the Bernabeu and is the club's all time top scorer scoring 326 goals. He is not the same player that left United in 2009. He has now turned into a prolific goal scorer and is no more that tricky and speedy winger.

The current Ronaldo prefers the central role and for LVG to convince him to move to a wider role would not be that easy as it seems. In fact, a club like PSG would be a better fit for him. He could play a major role in their rise to becoming one of Europe's heavyweights which he could make happen by playing in the more central role which he craves. As for Manchester United, a move for Ronaldo's Madrid teammate Gareth Bale would make more sense.

Cristiano Ronaldo has overtaken Raul as Real Madrid's all time highest goalscorer after scoring against Levante in Saturday's La Liga fixture.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo scored from outside the box against Levante in the first half to move clear of Raul as the club's highest goalscorer of all time.

Ronaldo has played just 310 matches for his club, while Raul has appeared 741 times for Real over a span of 16 years.

Ronaldo has now scored 12 goals in his last nine appearances for the club. Ronaldo had earlier levelled Raul's record with a brace against Malmo in the Champions League.

The Portugese, who joined Real Madrid in 2009 for a then world record fee, now has 502 goals in his name for club and country.

He  has scored 324 times for Real Madrid in 310 appearances. He also has 231 Liga goals in 208 appearances and is currently fourth in the all time La Liga topscorer charts behind Hugo Sanchez, Telmo Zarra and Lionel Messi.

The 30 year old has averaged around fifty goals per season since his arrival at Madrid and has already won a Champions League, a La Liga title and two Copa Del Reys with Real Madrid.

He recently won the Golden boot for being Europe's top goalscorer and has won the last two Ballon d'Ors as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo received a record fourth Golden Shoe after topping Europe's scoring charts last season. Cristiano scored 48 times for Real Madrid last time and it is the third time that he is winning the honour while at the Spanish club. He had also won it once with Manchester United in 2007/08.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano became the first player ever to win the accolade four times, edging his rival Messi, who scored 43 goals himself. But Cristiano is hungrier than ever to add more honours to his personal trophy cabinet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Cristiano said that he had never expected to win it four times, but is still eager to win more. He also said that he wanted to win more trophies with his club and targeted the La Liga, the Cup and Champions League.

Ronaldo was accompanied by his head coach Rafa Benitez, club president Fiorentino Perez and his family to the ceremony.

Ronaldo, who is now 30, also said that he wants to wind down his career at the Madrid club. Speaking to Marca, he said that his dream was to continue playing till he was 40 but will try to play a five or six years more atleast. Cristiano said that he could keep up his goals ratio for the next five years for Real Madrid if he properly looked after himself.

Ronaldo is currently level with Raul as Madrid's all time leading top scorer with 323 goals but has the chance to surpass the Spaniard when he faces Levante on Saturday.

Napoli have denied that forward Gonzalo Higuain made bad comments about Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain
Higuain hit the headlines on Sunday when an interview of his was released where he was quoted as saying certain things about former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The interview released by Don Balon claimed that Higuain had labelled Cristiano as an overrated and egoistical character.

Higuain played for four years alongside the Portuguese for Real Madrid before joining Napoli in 2013. The original quotes from the interview say that Cristiano needed to be constantly told by his friends that he was the best. Higuain also said that Ronaldo believed he was the best and anyone who disagreed with him was not his friend and was alienated in the dressing room.

Higuain has also shared a dressing room with Messi for international matches and the interview claims that Higuain had special praise for Messi. Cristiano's fans were angry at the Argentine's comments and particularly after he complimented Messi.

The comments caused a stir in the football world and Napoli were forced to release a statement to deny any such occurrence. Napoli's statement claims that Don Balon was never allowed an interview with Higuain and therefore whatever being said was completely false.

The trailer for Cristiano Ronaldo's much talked about documentary 'Ronaldo' was finally released today, and it really makes you watch the movie.

The movie is set for a worldwide release on November 9.

Brazil legend Kaka has heaped praise upon Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and jokingly said that he was the last Ballon d'Or winner to be born on "this planet".

Kaká, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
Kaka won the prize in 2007 after inspiring AC Milan to their seventh Champions league victory. That was the last time that a player other that Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi had claimed the prize. Both of them have exchanged the trophy between themselves for the past seven years since then.

The former Real Madrid player now plays for Major League Soccer side Orlando City and already has nine goals with four assists to his name this season.

The Brazilian was talking to Marca, saying "Ronaldinho, Cristiano, Messi and myself are the only Ballon d'Or winners who are still playing. It fills me with pride to stand alongside these great players, and to be the last player to have won the award before Messi and Ronaldo."

"You could say that I was the last Ballon d'Or winner to have been born on this planet", he added.

The playmaker secured a move to Santiago Bernabeu after his impressive displays at Milan and had a tough time there. He did not get much play time under Jose Mourinho as he often preferred youngster Mesut Ozil to the Brazilian.

He was reported to have been alienated from the squad and was rumored to have a poor relationship with Mourinho. But he waved away those reports saying that he had a professional relationship with Mourinho and that he had no such issues with the Portugese coach.

The former Champions league, Seria A and La Liga winner subsequently had a small stint at his old club AC Milan before moving to Orlando City.

Kaka was one of the global stars of the game along with Ronaldinho and Zidane in the early 2000s before the emergence of Ronaldo and Messi. While his career hasn't worked out well since his move to Spain, his remarkable contributions at Milan cannot be forgotten.

Here are 10 stats from this week's UCL games:

*Eden Hazard missed a chance to open the scoring from the spot for Chelsea against Maccabi Tel Aviv. This made him only the fourth player to have missed three or more penalties in the Champions league since 2006/07. The other three players to have done so are Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Lionel Messi
*After appearing for Barcelona against Roma, Lionel Messi became the youngest player in UCL history to have played in 100 games.

*Despite losing against Dinamo Zagreb, Arsenal have won 76 times in the Champions league -  the most by a team that has not won the competition.

*Dinamo Zagreb's win was also their first win in the competition since September 1999.

*Since his debut in 2004, only Xavi (24)  and Cristiano Ronaldo (23) have registered more assists than Cesc Fabregas (22).

*Roma's defence was excellent against Barcelona. This game was the one in which Barcelona had least shots on target (3) this season.

*Diego Costa scored his first Champions League goal for Chelsea. It was his first goal in the competition since last scoring for Atletico Madrid against Chelsea.

*Theo Walcott became the sixth Arsenal player to have scored 10 or more goals for the club.

*Arsenal's defence was shaky today and this game meant that the Gunners have just kept one clean sheet in their last 11 Champions league away group games.

*Messi's stats in the UCL after his 100 games - 77 goals, 22 assists , 4 trophy wins.

Cristiano gave  his fans another game to savour after shooting in five goals against a dismal Espanyol side, while Messi, coming off the bench, scored the winner against Atletico Madrid. The duo showed no signs of slowing down and neutral supporters will be delighted that the rivalry remains as healthy as ever.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo became Real Madrid's all time top scorer surpassing Raul's record of 228 goals when he scored his fourth of the game. He is currently on 230 goals but is still behind Messi and four others on the all time La Liga topscorer charts. The Portuguese claimed his 28th La Liga hattrick on his way to breaking the record and also provided an assist to Karim Benzema for Madrid's fourth goal.

Although it took Raul 550 matches to score the aforementioned number of goals, the former Red Devil broke the record in just 204 appearances. After having a difficult evening against Real Betis when Madrid won 5-0 and Cristiano wasn't able to find the net, the Portuguese silenced his doubters with an emphatic display scoring his hat-trick within the first 20 minutes of the game.

Lionel Messi
As for Barcelona, their main man Leo Messi found himself on the bench at the start of the match as Luis Enrique opting to rest his star player ahead of the high profile clash against Atletico Madrid. Messi was still the one to make a difference in the game though as he came on as a substitute with the scores tied at 1-1 and scored the winner by finishing off a wonderful team move. The goal was the Argentine's 287th, and while Cristiano may have broken the Real Madrid scoring charts, the La Liga all time top-scorer record is safe with Messi.

The goal also meant that Barcelona will stay atop of the league table, 2 points ahead of Real Madrid. With both teams and their main talismans showing such scary early season form, it is definitely exciting times for the supporters.

It is a well known fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is a fantastic dribbler, crosser and shooter but he’s not renowned for his short passing.

Cristiano Ronaldo training with his teammates
Ronaldo showed one of the weaknesses to his game at Real Madrid training yesterday when he messed up a wonderful passing move.

His side had put together 25 nice passes and forced their opponents to chase shadows in triangle, before the FIFA Ballon d'Or holder idly misplaced his pass.

Madrid will play against Espanyol this afternoon.

It is a fact that Cristiano Ronaldo takes his rivalry with Leo Messi very seriously. He may try to deny the fact but it makes the fire burn inside of the Real Madrid man.

Cristiano Ronaldo during the warm-up
Fans of the opposite team know that they can get under Ronaldo’s skin by chanting his rival’s name at him. This is exactly what the Albania fans did during this week’s Euro 2016 qualifier.

Chants of ‘Messi!’ by the crowd were clearly audible from the stands during the warm-up. Ronaldo actually enjoyed the chants and asked the Albanians for more instead of feeling offended.

Martin Odegaard
Real Madrid's teenage sensation Martin Odegaard has confirmed that he had offers from the Premier League before joining the Spanish capital club, reports the Daily Mail.

The ten-time European Champions beat a host of clubs around the globe, including Liverpool and the two Manchester teams, to procure the signature of the highly coveted teenager.

“I visited Liverpool, the two Manchester teams and they were all very nice but my choice was Real Madrid and I am very happy with that,” said Odegaard.

The attacking midfielder, who has been handed the No.10 jersey at Madrid's Castilla, believes Real is the best club for him to develop as a footballer and reach the lofty heights expected of him.

“Madrid is very good. It is the best place if you want to become a better footballer."

"I have been given the No 10 shirt [at RM Castilla] and it is a big responsibility having that number but it is the one that I like and I am just going to enjoy it," he added.

Despite rumours linking him with loan move out of the club this summer, Odegaard decided against it and now focuses on developing as a player everyday.

“I have spoken a little bit with Rafa Benitez but not too much at the minute. My focus is to become a better footballer and develop every day," he said.

Although the Norwegian affirmed that his aim is to learn the finer traits of an attacking midfielder under the watchful eyes of club legend Zinedine Zidane, who is head coach at Real's Castilla, he did not rule out a move to England in the future.
