Di Maria moved to Manchester United last summer for
£59.7 million, a British transfer record fee. But he suffered a difficult time there despite impressing in his first few appearances for the Old Trafford club.
Di Maria's relationship with Louis Van Gaal worsened as the season progressed and the Argentine was constantly played out of position. His sending off against Arsenal in the FA Cup tie worsened the situation and he was benched a lot after that incident.
Di Maria finally moved out of Manchester this summer after missing United's pre-season friendlies. But the winger is settling well into his new club and is enjoying playing in the Champions league again, even scoring a goal in his return to the competition.
Speaking to UEFA.com, he said that he missed playing in the UCL a lot.
He said that last year was pretty difficult for him as he could not play and his injury was really complicated. He added that not being able to compete in the UCL after having won it made it a pretty tough time for him.
He is also settling well at Paris. Speaking about it he said that it is really nice at PSG. He trains every day with a smile on his face and is happy to be there. His family is also feeling very good there from the first day they arrived and that makes it a lot easier for di Maria to focus on football.
Di Maria awaits a return back to Santiago Bernabeu when PSG face Real Madrid in the group stage of UCL this season, but insists that he will not celebrate if he scores.
