Liverpool Interested in Chelsea's young defender Christensen

It has been apparent from several seasons that Chelsea are one of those Premier league clubs that have a huge list of players out on loan to different European leagues. It seems one of their young defenders is impressing on his loan spell.
Andreas Christensen was sent out on a two year loan to Borussia Monchengladbach. It seems that the 19 year old has been quite impressive in the first of his two year loan spell. Monchengladbach have been so impressed by the defender's performances that they want to make the deal permanent,
However, it seems Liverpool are tracking the performances of the young defender as well and want to make a move for the Chelsea youngster. Liverpool had signed Steven Caulker as a back up to their injury hit defence and are very much interested in strengthening their defensive department even more.
Christensen has been quite good for the Bundesliga club, which is currently sixth on the table.The club +as not able to make a good impression of themselves in the Champions league this season due to being placed in the same group as Juventus and Manchester City. However, they are very much in contention to qualify for next year's Champions league and Christensen has been a vital part of the same.
It would certainly be interesting to see whether Chelsea would be willing to sell their star young asset to a Premier league rival.
