It seems Ruben Loftus-Cheek is happy with his progress at his boy hood club Chelsea after having signed a new deal which will keep the young midfielder tied to the club till 2021.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has signed a new contract at Chelsea which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2021.
The England under-21 International was considered as an exciting prospect last season and was given first team football after Chelsea clinched the Premier league title. However, under both Mourinho and Hiddink, the 20 year old has failed to make an impact and has been mostly used as a substitute in this campaign.

Loftus- Cheek was considered to be next big thing from the Chelsea academy after John Terry. However, the 20 year old midfielder has been made to wait for his chances this season. In spite of a somewhat lacklustre defence of their Premier league title, Hiddink has not really preferred using his youngsters.

However, Loftus-Cheek is delighted with the new deal stating that he has been happy with the way Chelsea has looked after him since he joined the club at the age of 8. Hiddink has also stated that when he first came to the club, he felt Loftus-Cheek was around 24 or 25 and believes the young midfielder has a great future.

However, whether that future lies in West London or not is a different story altogether.
