City and Tottenham interested in Mikel Arteta
It seems both Manchester City and Tottenham are looking to sign Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta as a coach and not as a player.
Arteta has certainly been struggling to get into the Arsenal team and has not been anywhere near his best over the last few seasons. The former Everton midfielder, who was signed by the club in 2011, has not really featured for the Gunners in this season.
However, it has been reported that the Spanish International has a good future as a coach. However, Arsene Wenger has not confirmed any intent of bringing the Spanish midfielder into his coaching team.
Both City and Tottenham are looking to make the most out of this situation and bring Arteta into their coaching set up. Arteta's contract would be ending this summer and the former Everton midfielder is not sure whether he would venture into a coaching role next season.
Although Pochettino is very keen to bring Arteta to the club, it would be a great surprise if the 34 year old moves to Tottenham. However, with Manchester City also offering a good deal, it is a possibility that the captain of Arsenal may be spending his last season with the club.
