Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis has urged the club's leading striker to lose weight and regain his physical prowess ahead of a busy time for the Italian club. 'Higuain should dispose off a pound and a half more than he has, as it is almost like he is walking around with a brick in his pocket at the moment.
He has to regain his physical form from a month ago, and then also return to scoring goals. However, all of our 24 players can play a part.' Laurentiis said on Goal.com.
Napoli were knocked out of the Europa League by Spanish outfit Villareal on Thursday after a 1-1 draw at the Stadio San Paolo. He's leading the goal-scoring charts right now but must work on his fitness if he wants to regain his touch. De Laurentiis also said that he doesn't hold Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri responsible for the loss against Villareal.
'I have nothing to blame Sarri for. Napoli played a good match but you can't say we were unlucky.', he said.
