It seems Yaya Toure would leave Manchester City if he has not been offered an improved contract by next week.

Yaya Toure will leave Manchester City unless a new contract is agreed, says his agent.
The current contract of Toure extends till next season. However, the agent of the Ivory Coast midfielder has stated that if the Manchester City midfielder does not receive a new contract from the club by next week, Toure would leave the Etihad at the end of the season.

Toure's agent, Dimitri Seluk, has stated that Toure would leave City for another Premier league club. Hence, the possibility of a move to the MLS or China is very high. He also stated that he wants the club to bring about a solution to the current problem and has given a final ultimatum of next week.

Earlier in the season after the announcement of Guardiola as the new manager of City at the start of next season, there were reports that Toure would leave the Etihad due to his relationship with the former Barcelona manager. However, it seems that Toure is open to staying at City if the club is interested in keeping him.

The fact that Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure may leave the club at the end of the season is not a surprise.

MLS clubs ready to snatch up Yaya Toure
The agent of the Ivory Coast midfielder had stated that his client may leave the club at the end of the campaign after the Citizens announced the arrival of former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.

Toure has certainly been a shadow of himself this season with the midfielder often looking disinterested in certain games.

The fact that things are going wrong is certainly there to see when the former African footballer of the year was out muscled by young and hungry Tottenham players in the latest home defeat that City suffered at the hands of the north London club.

It seems that the loss of the Premier league would be a gain to the MLS. Players from big European clubs often see the MLS as a place where they can play in the twilight of their career. Orlando City and New York Red Bulls are two teams who are very much interested in bringing the former Barcelona player to the MLS.

With Toure certainly looking a shadow of himself in this season, a move to the MLS may just be the right move for the Ivory Coast midfielder.

The fact that Yaya Toure and Guardiola do not get along too well is not a secret. Guardiola was the one who allowed Toure to leave Barcelona and join Manchester City since he never featured in his plans.

Yaya Toure's agent says the midfielder will leave Manchester City when Pep Guardiola arrives
It seems that Dimitri Seluk, Toure's agent, has questioned whether Guardiola has it in him to work in an environment when the situation is not favorable.

The reason the agent has made such a statement is because Guardiola made the choice of leaving Barcelona in 2012, after he failed to win the league losing out to Mourinho's Real Madrid. That was the only season in which Guardiola has not won the league in his six years of managerial career at the top level.

Seluk also added that he believes his player would leave the Etihad at the end of the season. Whether it is because of the arrival of his former manager or not is yet to be confirmed.

However, with the agent being so sure, it seems this would definitely be the last season of Toure as a Manchester City player.

Seluk also stated that Yaya has always been open to challenges referring to his move to City, who were just a new club with a new project in the year 2010. He also added the fact that Toure was instrumental in the appointment of Begiristain as Technical director and Soriano as Chief Executive from Barcelona.

It certainly seems with the recent statements of his agent that there is no love lost between the former Barcelona manager and player.

This was a crazy weekend; Chelsea's unbeaten march came to an end. Manchester City lost their talisman as they closed the six-point gap to just three. December has got off to an explosive start. Arsenal's woes continue as Stoke continued their dominance at home against the Gunners. The last win for Arsenal at the Britannia was in February 2010. West Ham stormed into the top three for 24 hours but continue to impress. I name my Barclays Premier League Match day 15 squad. Manchester United to the form table as they managed their fifth consecutive win.

David de Gea: The best shot stopper in the league, leading already in the Player of the year for the club as the Spaniard continues to shine his beacon. The amount of points he managed to gain United are considerable. Another master class display as Manchester United won their fifth game in a row.

Alan Hutton: The Irishman has been a consistent performer and probably Aston villa's best player. One to lose his temper on occasion was the one to deliver a blow to Nigel Pearson's side with a college finish, grabbed a vital three points for under pressure Villa.

Fabricio Coloccini: The captain was part of a solid back four that managed to nullify the Chelsea juggernaut. A solid display as the Tyneside team managed to win and Coloccini returning from injury was a key player.

Jan Vertonghen: Fortunate to keep a clean sheet as the Belgian defender and Hugo Lloris managed to rescue Spurs from yet another home defeat. With rumors circulating that Manchester United may come in for him, Jan had a quality game in a dark Spurs show.

Carl Jenkinson: Had to find a spot for the arsenal 'reject' who is on loan and having a commendable season, providing a cross for the equaliser against Swansea. He was defensively sound despite a lapse in concentration once or twice. Don't the Gunners miss the England international?

Alex Song: Tank. The Barcelona player is giving West ham lots of freedom to play more attacking football. He has shown his leadership qualities, creativity and composure: A pillar in yet another quality performance by Sam Allardyce's side.

Yaya Toure: A big blow as Batman limped off early, but Yaya managed to stabilize the ship as he has done so often and controlled proceedings. The Ivorian skipper was not at his usual best but managed to be the difference between the sides.

Moussa Sissoko: Newcastle have been on a resurgent rise and the French international has been their best player: another workmanlike display against the title chasers, dangerous on the break and a thorn in the blues flesh.

Yannick Bolasie: Skillful, energetic and pacy. The Congo international created chances that were not taken by his teammates. The player will not be at Selhurst Park for long, looking at his form and his raw talent. The 360 flick against Spurs was a bit of entertainment.

Andy Carroll: The real disappointment was when Sakho didn't slide the ball across for the hat trick goal. A top level display from Andy, who was at his best: Aerial prowess, energetic and full of confidence as he inspired the Hammers to third on Sunday night.

Pappis Cisse: He has rescued Newcastle every time he has come on to play. Cisse has been pivotal and the reason they have managed to turn their form around. The second half cameo against Chelsea saw the Senegalese forward win it for them in a typical striker's performance. He is surely my player of the week.
