It was very much inevitable that Tottenham were about to offer their main striker Harry Kane a new deal after enjoying such a great season.

Although the England International only signed a new contract of five years worth £50,000 per week last February, it has been reported that the club has taken the step of offering the striker a new deal worth £100,000 per week.

The rise of the England International in the last two years has been sensational and the club believes that it is important that they keep hold of one of their prized assets this summer. Kane has been linked with various Premier league clubs including the likes of Manchester United.

Hence, the Tottenham management have taken the bold step of crossing their £80,000 per week wages and offer their star forward a new deal. Kane has scored 46 Premier league goals in his 70 Premier league appearances for Spurs and is very much in contention to lead the line for England in the Euros.

The reaction of Kane to this decision from the management has not yet been taken but it seems only a matter of time before Kane signs the dotted line.

Kane was part of the Arsenal academy before moving to Spurs. Last year, there was a picture being circulated showing Kane wearing an Arsenal jersey and celebrating the title win of the Invincibles in 2004. Parlour believes that Kane is a quality striker and is one of Arsenal's own.

Parlour stated that Arsenal are only one or two signings away from winning the league title. He stated that midfielder Ozil has been impressive for them this season and has created a host of chances in this campaign. But the Gunners do not have a quality striker to finish these chances off.

Apart from Kane, Parlour also believes that Borussia Dortmund centre half Mats Hummels would be a great addition to the squad. Hummels has been tracked by various European clubs including the likes of Bayern Munich due to the contract issues the player is current facing at Dortmund.
