Everton's Romelu Lukaku, who's been in scintillating form this season, broke Tony Cottee's record for most goals by an Everton player since the formation of the Premier League when he scored against Villa in midweek.

Amongst the 29755 in attendance at Villa park, was Bayern Munich's technical director Michael Reschke. He was apparently sent by the Bavarians to look at the Belgian forward, as a future replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker's future at the club remains a doubt and Bayern only have Muller as a viable replacement upfront.

Lukaku joined the Toffees in 2014 from Chelsea for £28million but Bayern will have to pay a lot more to lure him to Allianz Arena. They are likely to face stiff competition from the likes of PSG and Chelsea, according to reports.

It was also reported that the Merseyside club have set a price tag of £56million for the striker. And with Everton's recent big money buy-in by Farhad Moshiri, it will be more difficult for competitors to tempt star assets such as Lukaku and defender John Stones away from Goodison, but it will also depend on the players' own interests and ambitions.

Lukaku miscued a shot in the warm-up before Everton’s game at Southampton today and the ball flew into the stand, hitting a Saints fan.

The Belgian forward was upset that he hit a fan and decided to run straight up into the stand to give her a cuddly hug and apologize.

He went on to score a brace in the Toffees’ 3-0 win over the Saints as it clearly looked like he got his misses out of his system.
