10. Jose Antonio Reyes

Spanish striker Jose Antonio Reyes joined the Gunners in 2004. He enjoyed a blistering start to his Arsenal career, but it didn’t last.

Jose Antonio Reyes
Paul Scholes made a horrific tackle on the Spaniard striker during a FA Cup game, and Reyes took a long time to recover.

By the time he got back to the pitch, he had already lost his place in the starting XI. Reyes was eventually loaned out to Real Madrid and was sold to Atletico Madrid in 2007.

10. Cesc Fabregas:

Fabregas may have been forgiven for going back to his child hood Barcelona after spending eight years at Arsenal where he had become a key figure for the North London team.

Cesc Fàbregas
However, his move to London rivals Chelsea coupled with a Premier league title the next year would surely not be forgiven among Arsenal supporters.

5. Alex Song

Defensive midfielder Alex Song is one of the more recent Arsenal alumnus who we believe may already be regretting his decision to leave the Gunners. Song joined Arsenal for the 2005/06 season and was initially just used as a utility player – he would even find himself loaned out to Charlton for part of the 2006/07 campaign.

Alex Song
However, the combined effect of established players moving to other teams and Song’s improved experience meant that he became a staple player for Arsenal. Indeed, in the two season leading up to his departure he played in nearly every league game for the Gunners; valued for his athleticism, versatility and long-ball passing.

After a string of solid seasons for Arsenal, La Liga giants Barcelona decided the Cameroon midfielder would be of use to their otherwise undersized squad. Full of hope that he could establish himself at one of the best clubs on the planet, Song signed a five-year contract with Barcelona in a deal worth £15 million.

However, in his first two years in Spain, Song had been demoted to the utility role he originally had at Arsenal all those years ago. The 28-years-old surely wanted to play as much football as he ccould while he is at his athletic peak and it looked unlikely that he would do that at the Camp Nou. He then joined West Ham United on loan from FC Barcelona. It is likely that Song wishes he should have stayed with Arsenal.

Klopp had once said at Dortmund that he liked to play "Heavy metal football". His best years at Dortmund came when he had Lewandowski, Reus and Gotze in his team.

If Klopp can work his magic at Anfield, we will get to see some entertaining football.
