According to
Forza Italian Football, former owners Rezart Taci and Tommaso Ghirardi have sold Parma for one euro, after the club landed in a deep financial crisis.

The Italian club has gone through a financial meltdown after Antonio Cassano and Felipe decided to terminate their contracts and the other players being sold during the January transfer window. The owners finally decided to sell the club.
Parma was bought by Mapi Group, which made Giampietro Manenti the new president of the club.
According to
Tutto Mercato Web, the previous owners Ghirardi and Taci received a solitary euro to transfer the club over to Manenti.

Officials have reported that the new owners are expected to be presented on Wednesday.
Parma is currently at 20th position in Serie A, 10 points away from safety and are expected to be relegated to Serie B.
