Liverpool have confirmed that defender Martin Skrtel will be out for six weeks after limping off in Liverpool’s 0-3 defeat to Watford on Sunday.

Liverpool will be without Martin Skrtel for six weeks.
Liverpool fans were relishing the return of France defender Mamadou Sakho, but now Liverpool will be without their main defenders Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel for coming weeks.

Liverpool’s injury list has kept growing and now Skrtel joins Milner, Sturridge and Lovren in the sidelines.

Martin Skrtel has played 26 matches for Liverpool this season in all competitions.

Skrtel posted on his Instagram account saying that “he had suffered a tear in his hamstring and tendon”.

He posted that, "I will work hard on my recovery and will do everything to come back as soon as possible, and even stronger than before."

Jurgen Klopp will be looking to add reinforcements to the squad in the January transfer window. Liverpool are already linked with Joe Matip and Nevan Subotic, with the latter being a huge possibility to join the Merseyside club.
