Norwich sign Chelsea youngster Bamford on Loan
Patrick Bamford had a forgettable spell at Crystal Palace earlier in the campaign. But it seems the Chelsea youngster has got another chance to prove his credentials with Norwich.
The Canaries have signed the promising striker on loan for the remainder of the season.
Bamford was a revelation for Middlesbrough in the Championship last season ,where he helped the club to qualify into the play offs. Although the club eventually lost to Norwich in the play offs, Bamford was one of the best players in the championship. However, his time at Crystal Palace did not bring much dividends with respect to the career of the 22 year old striker.
His parent club Chelsea had recalled him midway through the season but it never seemed that the striker had a place in the first team squad. The signing of Pato from Corinthians in this transfer window suggested that Bamford would mostly be going out on loan to another Premier league club.
Bamford stated that he was happy to join the Canaries and would certainly hope he gets more playing time as compared to his time at Crystal Palace. Alex Neill stated that Bamford is a young striker with a lot of determination and would provide the necessary competition in the striking department. Chelsea would certainly hope this particular loan spell would help improve the talent and promise of Bamford.
