It has been reported that Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is not unhappy with the fact that his side have to play Southampton on Sunday, with their Champions league game due on Wednesday.

Pellegrini blasts ‘unbelievable’ Premier League over Southampton fixture
Pellegrini is frustrated at the fact that his semi-final opponents Real Madrid, who play on Saturday, would enjoy an extra day of rest. Earlier in the campaign, Pellegrini faced a similar problem when they were scheduled to play a FA Cup game against Chelsea before the pre quarterfinals against Dynamo Kiev.

On that occasion, the Chilean fielded an under strength side, a squad mostly with youth academy players. However, in this case, the manager cannot take a risk with Champions league qualification at stake. United are five points behind them with a game in hand in the league table. Any slip up would certainly give the Red Devils the opportunity to catch City.

Pellegrini believes that his team deserves to get the same amount of rest as his opponents. However, it has been reported that it is due to the television coverage issues that City is forced to play the game on Sunday.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has certainly been impressed with new signing Kevin De Bruyne, who played a pivotal part in their recent Champions league win over PSG.

Chelsea are not happy about De Bruyne sale, claims Pellegrini
De Bruyne was injured for major part of the season but has been instrumental for the Citizens in this campaign. The Belgian midfielder has certainly justified his £54 million tag in this season with some brilliant form being displayed at times by the former Chelsea midfielder.

According to Pellegrini, the form of Kevin De Bruyne in his second stint in England would certainly hurt Chelsea, who sold him for around £16 million to Wolfsburg just two years ago. He believes Chelsea had good players then but made the mistake of selling Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne left the club because of the lack of games under his belt during the tenure of Mourinho. Mourinho was also criticized for the sale of Lukaku, who is another Belgian International who has shown his brilliance in this season with Everton.

Pellegrini has likened the sale of De Bruyne to that of Paul Pogba, who was let go for free by Manchester United. Pogba later went on to become one of the best midfielders in the world during his time at Juventus.

It seems Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini will have no dearth of suitors after leaving his current club.

Manuel Pellegrini is said to be considering Newcastle as his next job if they stay up this season
Guardiola would be taking over the reigns at the Etihad and Pellegrini would be a free man at the start of next season. It has been reported that Russian champions Zenit Saint Petersburg have offered a two year contract to the Chilean for around £3 million per year.

Zenit has been performing well below expectations this season with the club in sixth in the Russian league and facing an exit in the Champions league after a 1-0 loss to Benfica in the round of 16 first leg in the Champions league.

However, Pellegrini wants to stay in the Premier league and is looking at Newcastle as a possible option. The Magpies are currently flirting with relegation and their manager Steve McClaren is under immense pressure for the same.

Although Newcastle are currently a bottom table team, they have a rich history consisting of the one of the most passionate fans in the world. However, if Newcastle do get relegated, Pellegrini would not be interested in the job since the Chilean wants to manage a Premier league club.

The fact that La Liga giants Valencia are currently enduring a terrible run of form in La Liga is not something new with their manager Gary Neville under immense pressure.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini favourite to fill Gary Neville's Valencia job
It seems that the Valencia management prefers the experience of Manchester City Manuel Pellegrini next season. Valencia are very much interested in bringing the Chilean to the Mestalla with the Manchester City manager set to leave the Etihad at the end of the season.

It has been confirmed that Guardiola will be replacing Pellegrini at the Etihad and with the Chilean out of contract, it seems Valencia want the former Real Madrid manager to stabilize the current issues prevailing at the club. They have made the former Villareal coach their top priority in terms of the managerial hot seat.

Valencia have been going through a rough patch with their heaviest humbling being at the hands of the La Liga champions Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey. Present manager Gary Neville, who was only instilled till the end of the season, will surely not be at the helm from next season.

The experience of Pellegrini in La Liga with the likes of Real Madrid, Malaga and Villareal has surely been looked into by Valencia and would come in handy if Valencia go for the Chilean. However, the club would have to move fast given the fact that the likes of Chelsea are also considering Pellegrini.

Manuel Pellegrini was quite emotional in his speech to his Manchester City players after he came to know about his departure from the club. Pep Guardiola would be replacing the Chilean at the end of the season.

Manuel Pellegrini has emerged as the leading candidate for the Chelsea job.
However, it seems that Pellegrini may have another opportunity to manage in the Premier league. It has been reported that Chelsea are prepared to provide a lucrative offer for the former Real Madrid manager. It seems that the club has already had certain discussions with the City manager.

It has also been reported that Pellegrini is quite excited to get another chance in the Premier league and hence, the Chelsea job may come just at the right time for the former Villareal manager.

Although the details with respect to the deal have not been mentioned, it seems that the Chelsea management is very keen on the calm and composed Chilean.

The London club had to endure a turbulent campaign this time around, although it seems that Interim manager Guus Hiddink has been able to steady the ship for the Blues.

Pellegrini is certainly the manager who carries out his tasks without hogging the limelight. It would be something that Chelsea owner Abramovich would prefer after the disturbances surrounding the club this season.

Manchester City were thrashed 4-1 by Tottenham on Saturday as Pellegrini's men fell to a second consecutive defeat in the league.

Manuel Pellegrini
Manchester City was without key players David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart who all missed out through fitness issues. Although Silva's replacement De Bruyne played well and got himselves on the scoresheet, Otamendi and Caballero weren't impressive and City were outplayed by Tottenham.

City were not as bad as the scoreline suggests though, and a couple of Tottenhams's goals were a result of poor officiating from the referees. The first one, was an obvious offside decision on Kyle Walker but the linesman somehow missed it and the move ended with Tottenham scoring their first goal. Caballero's performance between the bars didn't help either and he was responsible for atleast a couple of goals that they conceded.

Pellegrini was still optimistic about the season after the match though saying that his team will be looking for a win in their next game.

City had started the season strongly with five wins in their first five games before an injury to David Silva derailed their start. A loss to Juventus in Champions league followed and then West Ham also beat City at the Etihad. City responded with a win over Sunderland in the League Cup but was dismantled by Tottenham this week.

When asked about City's early season form, Pellegrini said that this was a very tough league and that he never claimed that his side could go unbeaten. Pellegrini was concerned with the injuries in his team and said that it is sad that he couldn't play his first choice eleven in all the games.

Manchester City now play Monchengladbach away in the Champions league before welcoming Newcastle United in their next Premier league fixture.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has said that he is confident about Aguero getting back to scoring ways soon.

Sergio Agüero
Last season's Premier league topscorer has struggled to score goals this season. He has scored just one goal from six outings in the league so far but remains an invaluable member of Pellegrini's squad.
Aguero broke a five game scoring drought with a penalty against Sunderland in the mid week Capital One Cup tie and his manager believes that it can be a platform for him to get back to the form he is capable of.

Aguero missed some good chances against West Ham in their 2-1 loss against West Ham last week but Pellegrini has backed his star striker to find his scoring boots against Tottenham on Saturday. Pellegrini says that Aguero is finally back to 100 percent fitness and that it is just a matter of time before he starts scoring on a regular basis again.

Despite the stats , Aguero remains a vital cog in City's attacks and has participated in the build up for a lot of goals. City's other choice upfront, Wilfred Bony is also not in great form and has yet to score this season.

Tottenham has been one of Aguero's favorite teams to play against and the Argentine has scored nine goals in his last five games against the North London side and will be hoping that he can replicate that kind of form on Saturday.

The only goal Aguero scored in this year's league was against Chelsea in City's 3-0 win. Aguero suffered an injury in City's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and has now returned to full fitness according to Pellegrini.
