It seems PSG are very much interested in signing Atletico Madrid's star striker Antoine Griezmann.

PSG willing to meet Griezmann buyout clause in Atletico Madrid deal

The French champions were bitterly disappointed when they were knocked out of the Champions league in the quarterfinal stage by Manchester City. PSG had a very easy season in their league winning the title with around nine games to spare.

However, Laurent Blanc and his men would surely know that they would still be regarded as underachievers this season due to the failure in the Champions league. The addition of Angel Di Maria last season surely made the French giants a formidable side but it seems the Ligue 1 champions would stop at nothing for next season.

PSG are reportedly ready to meet Atletico Madrid's inform striker Antoine Greizmann's buyout clause of around €80 million. Although PSG are ready to meet the buyout clause, the fact that the striker not too long ago stated that he is happy at the club may be a deterrent to their plans.

However, with the departure of star striker Ibrahimovic very much on the cards, another big name striker is what they are looking for and the French star has been identified as the ideal option.

Antoine Griezmann, the 24 year old forward has been a target for Chelsea since a long time. The Blues have had offers rejected in the past. After this season's falter, to bolster their attack, they have re-ignited their interest in the France international and they look to acquire him this summer.

Last month, Chelsea were handed a boost in his pursuit as it was reported that he had told his close pals that he wants to move to England soon. After which, Chelsea were handed another boost as The Sun claimed that the Frenchman rejected Atletico Madrid's latest contract offer as he doesn't want to be priced out of a future move.

Griezmann has a £62m release clause in his current deal with the Spanish giants, but Madrid are keen to increase it to £115m to fend off interest.

Manchester City and Manchester United were also linked with him but Griezmann quashes all the rumours as he announced on a Spanish radio Monte Carlo that he will stay in a Spain for a bit longer.

“[My career], in this moment, passes through trying to go as far as possible in the Champions League and winning the European Championship. I only think about that and I have no desire to leave Atletico," he said.

Even the Club president Enrique Cerezo told Spanish radio station, Cadena Ser, that they have no intention of selling him in the summer.
