Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 4-1 in Australia today. It means that they finished top of the table of the International Champions Cup,  which also included Italian side Roma.

Real Madrid celebrating today with their trophy without Sergio Ramos
The trophy was lifted by both Alvaro Arbeloa and Cristiano Ronaldo together during the formal presentation.

It was a surprise that there was no sign of Sergio Ramos, the now club captain, following the departure of Iker Casillas.

The Spaniard had been substituted off and had given the armband to Arbeloa.

Ramos would have been glad to lift his first trophy as club captain. It could be assumed that he is preoccupied with other things.

If Ramos does want to leave for Manchester United, as is being widely reported, then it may be possible that he didn’t want to be seen lifting a trophy halfheartedly.

The champions of Europe came out top as expected, as Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale powered them to Real Madrid's fourth Club World Cup. The European giants managed to leave Morocco without any problems at all.

Keeping two clean sheets and scoring six goals from open play. The rhythm, synchrony, and flamboyance were visible throughout the tournament. Carlo Ancelotti may have just become the greatest coach of all time, as he joined Pep Guardiola and Carlos Bianchi in winning two different Club World Cup titles with two different sides.

Credit to finalists San Lorenzo who impressed and got their tactics spot on. They just face a side with a lot more quality. Auckland City managed to come third and the Oceania champions were unfortunate not to make the final. They will remember this tournament fondly and will be the heroes of the tournament. All hail the Kings of the world, Real Madrid, The Galacticos.

1. Paul Pogba - Juventus

Paul Pogba [Image from flickr by Calcio Mercato]
Chelsea's midfield may already be solid with the defensive qualities of Matic and the passing talents of Fabregas but Pogba would make them unstoppable. There would be no doubt across the world that Chelsea would possess the most fearsome core in football.

Chelsea are one of only a few clubs believed to be ready financially to launch a bid so they stand a good chance of signing him.

2. Sergio Ramos - Real Madrid

Mourinho knows Sergio Ramos well from his time at Real Madrid and would love the prospect of partnering him with Cahill. Sergio Ramos is of world class calibre and would take no time to adapt.

Mourinho obviously values the importance of a mean defence and Ramos would be the ideal signing to perfect an already well oiled machine.

3. David Alaba - Bayern Munich

The Austrian international has already established himself as a key player in arguably the greatest team in the world. He demonstrates ability far beyond his years and his value to Bayern Munich is unquestionable.

Despite being primarily a left back he has been utilized in various positions across defence and midfield and this would certainly be appreciated by Mourinho.

4. Phillip Lahm - Bayern Munich

The Germany legend is getting older but his class still remains. He would provide irreplaceable value to Chelsea's defence and midfield. If injuries became a problem he would surely fill in and provide more than adequate cover.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo - Real Madrid

There isn't much that needs to be said here. One of the best players of all time strutting his stuff at Stamford Bridge would be a mouth watering prospect for Chelsea fans and it would be a huge sucker punch for Manchester United fans to see their beloved hero playing for a title rival.

What do you think? What would your dream signing be?

Tuesday saw some exciting clashes, shocks, routine wins and quality goals from Germany to England to Morocco. Let us take look at the most impressive stalwarts of the day as the level of quality was too high. Chelsea saw an opponent sent off for a second time this week as Derby's defender Buxton walked. Buxton, on for the suspended.

Formation: 3-4-3

Roman Bürki

Rarely do you get the losing side feature a player in the impressive performance XI but the shot stopper was sublime. If he was having a bad day or the post was not willing to interfere it would have been far worse. Roman made a record 13 saves in the Bundesliga clash and despite losing produced a commendable display.

Filipe Luis

The former Atletico man was lively. Sound in defense and a thorn moving forward for the Derby defense. His sublime left-footed free kick gave the visitors a second goal, which put them in the driving seat.

Juan Bernat

It was a quality display from the defender, who could have claimed a hat trick. Quiet in defense as there was no threat, but on attack Juan could have played as a forward and impressed. Striking the post a couple of times, including the piece of skill to take a long ball, and then deliver a strike which went in through a Thomas Muller header off the post.

Sergio Ramos

He was having a quiet game until it escalated. The Spaniard opened the scoring for Real madrid at the Club world Cup, conceded a penalty and managed to get a booking. Has now scored in every competition he has been involved in.

Eden Hazard

No one can stop the Belgian as he continues to evolve. Scoring the crucial first goal and providing Derby with problems all evening. Derby players ended up double, and at times triple marking him to stop his threat.

Cesc Fabregas

Back from suspension and took over from where he left off as the Chelsea maestro managed yet another assist to take his tally to 15. Creative genius!

Xabi Alonso

Despite the injury the class was evident in the hour he played. Remember how Chelsea got rid of Frank Lampard? Well Madrid could be wondering how much better they would be if they kept the Spaniard. Pinpoint passes all over the park.

Arjen Robben
Arjen Robben
He is in the form of his life and is mesmerizing defenses. The Dutch master scored his 100th game in Bayern colors in his 184th game. He was the heart and soul of this side as they go twelve points clear for at least a day. Wolfsburg will face Dortmund tomorrow.

Cristiano Ronaldo

No goals from the World's best player but was pivotal in his sides domination as always. The Portuguese star managed two assist that included a quality cross to a certain Mr. Bale. Not as selfish on the pitch is he.

Marc Mcnulty

The Scottish striker managed to score the decisive goal as Sheffield United continued their fine run in the knockout cups. They will be in the semi-finals and this will be a goal Marc won't forget anytime soon.

Pedro Rodriguez

A first half hat trick saw the Spanish international compound further misery on Hues a in the Copa del Rey. It was a much needed confidence boost for the out of favor player.

Coach - Nigel Clough
