Wolfsburg terminate Bendtner's contract
Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has been released and is now out of contract after his current German club Wolfsburg terminated the Dane's contract due to several behavioral issues.
Bendtner, whose last game for the club was in February, was banned from first team training in March due to various disciplinary issues, one of them which included coming late for training.
It seems the management of Wolfsburg is frustrated with the actions of the Dane and have thereby released the 28 year old.
The Dane had appeared for around 47 games for the German club after joining them from Arsenal in 2014.
The striker had scored around 9 goals for the club. Sporting Director Klaus Allofs stated that they had high hopes from the Danish International but the forward has failed in his expectations. He felt that the association was no more useful for the club and thereby the management has taken this decision.
It was reported that Bendtner was disappointed with the current decision, one which was obviously expected.
