It seems five time Champions league winners Barcelona are interested in bringing Alexandre Pato to the Camp Nou.
The reports of Pato to Barcelona may be surprising given the Brazilian International has yet to feature for Chelsea. Pato joined Chelsea in January on a six month loan from Corinthians and the Blues have an option of signing the former AC Milan forward for around £9 million depending upon his performance for the club during that time period.
It seems Barcelona failed in their pursuit of Celta Vigo star Nolito and they believe Pato is the next best option available. Chelsea can buy the Brazilian forward and then sell the striker to Barcelona for a higher price.
Pato has to yet to feature for the Blues and Chelsea's Interim manager Guus Hiddink insists that the reason for the delay is because Pato is not yet up to the fitness levels required in the Premier league. There were reports earlier in the month that Pato's agent was not happy that his player is not playing.
However, with the Blues out of the Champions league and the FA cup and with a bleak chance of qualifying for the Champions league, the much awaited debut of Pato may just be a matter of time.
