India to Play Several Preparatory Matches for Incheon Asian Games
The Indian U-23 football team is set to play numerous friendly matches in preparation for the Incheon Asian Games this September. According to an All India Football Federation report, friendlies against European clubs and Asian nations will be scheduled.
Currently, a 30-member squad is training in Bangalore. Apart from twenty seven under23 footballers, there are three seniors, namely Sunil Chhetri, Robin Singh and Francis Fernandes.
Two tours will be held for the team in the coming months-one in Europe and one in the Far East. Apart from this, a two-legged friendly match against Pakistan is scheduled to be played on 17th and 20th August.
