Carragher states the three worst Liverpool signings
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has mentioned the three worst signings made by his club in his time.
Carragher stated the likes of El Hadji Diouf , Alberto Aquilani and Mario Balotelli as the three worst signings.
Liverpool signed Diouf from Lens for around £10 million and Carragher, who never had a good relationship with the Senegalese striker, emphasized that Diouf certainly has to be one of the worst in his time.
Aquilani, who was brought from Roma for around £20 million as a replacement for the departed Xabi Alonso, failed to live up to the standard set by the Spanish midfielder.
Carragher stated that Aquilani was signed when he was injured and he was mostly injured during his entire Liverpool career as well. He felt that the big money signing of the then Roma midfielder certainly failed to a great extent.
Mario Balotelli was signed from AC Milan for around £16 million and Carragher believes, even aside the off field antics, he has never seen the Italian International having one good game. The former Liverpool defender just hopes that Balotelli is signed by a Chinese Super league club for a huge amount of money.
