Preview: Liverpool vs Manchester City |
Yaya Toure, Edin Dzeko receives the quality long pass, a back-heel and David Silva collects 1-0 and the Champions up and running! Raheem Sterling directs the header towards Daniel Sturridge, a deft touch and Liverpool are 2-1 up!
The two best sides in the Premier League last season and certain both will be there when the title is decided next May. Manchester City former star Mario Balotelli grabbing headlines with a move to Liverpool. The Kop fans feel a little better with his addition after losing Luis Suarez. He will not be able to face his former side Manchester City, but will probably be seen in the stands.
The first big game of the season and we have a repeat of one of the most exciting fixtures last season. Sterling wrongly ruled off side and that miss contributed to Liverpool missing on the title. Both sides faced tough opposition on the opening day.
A winner will not determine the direction of the title but will be a psychological nlow to a loss. Both sides are very strong in the defence department. The inclusion of both Coutinho and Allen could help close the gap on the midfields. A midfield battle is imminent indeed and City seem to edge this department. Yaya Toure should be moved further up the pitch with Fernando and Fernadinho being anchors. Liverpool have that little bit of a surprise factor and I think Sterling will be the difference as the livewire Liverpool star could play a starring role.
This is definitely going to be exciting and a lively affair. Its likely to be a goal-laden draw but leaning towards a Liverpool sneaking a narrow win.
