As we edge closer to the duly awaited transfer deadline day, many clubs have erupted on to the transfer market, expectantly, in a bid to wrap up deals before the dreaded deadline day.
Amidst all the rumours, a strangely curious one has appeared, linking Arsenal's Lukas Podolski to the Italian champions Juventus.
Now, would this be a good deal for all the parties involved? In my opinion, it would be. Although Podolski can be considered a decent asset to Wenger's squad, I don't think he improves their starting line-up, and he spends most of his time on the bench in London, which must be frustrating for any player. For that reason alone, I think getting some money in for him and funding a move for a player that Arsenal do desperately need - maybe a move for Falcao or William Carvalho? - would be the most logical move at this stage.
However, it would also be understandable if Wenger decides to keep Podolski instead of offloading the German in this window.
Although I don't view it as the most logical option, or the option which is best for the player, Wenger might decide to keep Podolski because he is a quality player to have in your squad. He has good behavior in the dressing room, and scores some important goals over the course of the season. For a squad rotation player, Podolski is very good and thus, Wenger might see him as an important player given how many injuries Arsenal's forwards suffer.
If Juventus do manage to pull this deal off, it would be a brilliant signing for them in my opinion. With one of their main attackers, Fernando Llorente departing this window, Allegri is in need for a cheap, reliable and suitable replacement.
Having previously done well in the Bundesliga, I think Podolski would be a great capture for Juventus given that his price tag is not massively inflated. With Wenger recently saying that Podolski won't be leaving this summer, Juventus and Allegri do face a tough chase, but I'm sure if they make Wenger an offer he can't refuse, then we will see Podolski playing in black and white stripes soon.
