Liverpool's Troubles Continue

Once again Liverpool faces disappointed as they lost against Manchester United on Sunday, December 14, 2014. One of Liverpool’s most intense games, as the rivalry between both clubs is known worldwide; it was humiliating for them to lose 3-0. For United it almost seen as revenge as it was Liverpool who won 3-0 last season.

It was a decent and fast start for Liverpool, however, the tides turned when Rooney scored the first goal. Liverpool had possession in the beginning, and had various opportunities to meet the back of the net, but they couldn't make it work. Sterling, who had decent chances, missed easy goals, which he is now being criticized for. Mario Balotelli, who entered the game as a sub in the second half, handled the ball well but still couldn't find a way to score. Players once again lacked the spirit and passion that was needed to win the game. Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager, is the one who is facing the real consequences of losing as he might be fired due to the result.

It is harsh times for the club, and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Supporters are hopeful that during the January transfer window, Liverpool signs exciting players that can salvage this season.
