This will be their first meeting in this competition and it will be off the back of Southampton knocking their more illustrious opponents in Arsenal. Focus now shifts to their less glamorous opponents who have an impressive record in the knockout competitions.
The Blades have the most fascinating form guide when it comes to cup competitions. Sheffield United, under Nigel Clough, have lost the solitary game in the last 15 clashes. Morgan Schneiderlin and James ward-Prowse are set to return in this fixture and it will be a timely boost for the away side who will seek to use this opportunity to gain confidence once again and some momentum.
