Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle United

On 6 December, Newcastle United defeated Chelsea at home by 2-1 and the London team's manager Jose Mourinho had to deal with a lot of trouble with Newcastle.

Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Vurnon Anita were good for Newcastle, but Petr Cech's saves made sure that his team did not concede.

The opening goal was scored by Oscar, just before halftime, and that was only the second shot of the home team.

After an hour, Diego Costa’s goal put Chelsea to a safe spot to win the game.

Everton 1-1 Manchester City

Manchester City missed to get all 3 points in the away match against Everton. Seamus Coleman hit the post just before halftime and a goal by Phil Jagielka was rejected in the seventieth minute because of an alleged fault of Steven Naismith.

Sergio Aguero made his comeback as a substitute. City took the lead in the 74th minute. A change in direction of the shot from David Silva was headed into the goal by Fernandinho. Four minutes later, however, Leighton Baines converted a free-kick into a goal, equalizing the score.

The 1-1 draw means that City will have to chase Chelsea again for the top spot.
