With Jurgen Klopp having departed Borussia Dortmund, it remains to be seen whether the club can keep hold of their star players under the stewardship on Thomas Tuchel.
The German international claimed he would not be renewing his contract with Dortmund back in April, however, after doing so, it remains to be seen whether it was out of respect for the club or a sign of true commitment.
As such, Gundogan could yet prove to be a cut-price option for the Gunners.
