Barcelona missed the chance to go top of the La Liga table and instead now find themselves behind Celta and are now fifth in the table, but are just one point off from the top. Celta meanwhile continued their impressive start and now have 13 points from their first five games.

Barcelona's defence had a horrible time, with them looking out of their places time and time again with Pique being the main culprit after returning for the game from his suspension. Ex Barca player Nolito enjoyed a fine game and is now on top of the league's topscorer table with five goals in as many games.

Barcelona dominated possession and created chances but a poor display at the back proved their undoing as Celta were ruthless in taking their chances and were a threat on the counter continuosly.

Celta started well but the early chances fell to Barcelona with Messi, Suarez and Neymar all having a go at goal and testing Celta's goalkeeper Sergio.Barca were maid to pay for the chances when Nolito scored at the other end on 26 minutes. Nolito collected a cross from Hugo Mallo and the winger was provided with all the time and space he needed by Barca's defence. Nolito curled the ball over Ter Stegen into the far corner and although the goalkeeper got a touch on the ball, he wasn't able to parry it away.

Celta extended their lead four minutes later as the brilliant Nolito sent Aspas through on goal with a wonderful flick and the former Liverpool forward chipped it over the onrushing Ter Stegen. Nolito now has five goals and three assists to his name in the league so far.

Aspas could have scored another one before the break had he not dragged his shot wide running through on goal.

At the other end Messi cracked a shot into the post and forced another save from Sergio while Pique headed narrowly over from a Messi free kick.

Barca were piling on the pressure and committed too many men forward while attacking a corner and were punished for it by Aspas. The corner was cleared and collected by Aspas, who knocked it past Dani Alves and slotted it past Ter Stegen for his second.

Barca's defence had lost the plot and Aspas had a couple of chances to complete his hattrick before he was withdrawn in the 78th minute.

Barca were desperately looking for something from the game and they finally scored when Neymar controlled a lobbed pass from Messi and slotted it home. But hopes of any comeback was put to bed soon when John Guidetti smashed home from close range to finish the scoring for the home side.
