Mandzukic out for upto three weeks

Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic will be missing the next three weeks of Juventus' campaign after tearing his thigh muscles in the game against Genoa.

The Croatian limped off towards the end off Juventus' 2-0 win over Genoa and underwent tests on Monday. The tests have revealed that he has suffered a grade one tear on his right femoral bicep and will be out for 20 days.

Mandzukic had scored for Juventus in their Champions league opener against Manchester City, tapping in Pogba's wonderful cross. But the injury means that the Croatian will miss their next Champions league clash against Sevilla on September 30.

Mandzukic will also miss the games against Frosinone and the trip to Napoli on Saturday night, while he may also be unavailable for Juve's home game against Bologna. He is expected to return for the away game against Inter Milan after the international break.

He could also miss his country's crucial qualifier against Bulgaria on October 8.

Striker Alvaro Morata was also forced off the field in the same game following an abdominal strain but tests have ruled out any serious muscle damage. The Spaniard will be monitored by the Juve medical staff but his injury is not as worse as expected according to reports but he will be missing Juventus' next game against Frosinone on Wednesday.

The forwards join Sami Khedira, Claudio Marchisio and Kwado Asamoah in Juventus' injury table. The injuries to the forwards means Paulo Dybala will start on Wednesday with Allegri's only other option being Simone Zaza.

Juventus' win over Genoa was their first win in the league this season.
