The other three teams are Everton in 1996, Manchester United in 2005, and Chelsea in 2006. The season is still young but West Ham look really dangerous under Salven Bilic. The game also saw Manchester City conceding for the first time in the league this season. City were without Vincent Kompany and they missed him badly at the centre of their defence. City conceded as many goals in this game (2) as they had in their previous nine league games.

This was the first time since 1999 that Arsenal had two players sent off in a league game. Arsenal failed to score again against Chelsea and it has now been 482 minutes since they have scored against Mourinho's team in the league. Cesc Fabregas has come under criticism for his performances this season, but he delivered against Arsenal by assisting Zouma for the opener. The Spaniard now has two assists in his three games against his former club. Alexis Sanchez had a chance to equalize for the visitors but he fluffed it. He now has 28 shots this season in the league and is the player with the most shots and yet no goals in the league this campaign.
