Liverpool has been heavily criticized for their transfer policy in the recent past. Of their transfers in the last five years, only Coutinho and Sturridge have been definite successes.
A major issue was how Liverpool was buying players in from lower teams from the same division. The only advantage with such transfers is that the players don't need to get adjusted to the league.
But seriously if Liverpool's transfer committee thinks that Ings, Lambert and Clyne are going to win them the league, they are in trouble.
