Manchester City are hosting Merseyside giants Liverpool this week, both sides will be looking to settle for three points in this encounter.

Even though Manchester City ended their previous week campaign with a frustrating draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park, they are still sitting at the top of the table, ahead of Arsenal by goal difference. Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling will be facing his former club Liverpool for the first time, after his 49 million pound move from the Merseyside club.

Manchester City played their last four premier league campaigns without their star striker Sergio Aguero. Pellegrini will be relieved about the striker’s availability for the club’s premier league clash against Liverpool on Saturday. City fans are also delighted to hear that the injured playmaker David Silva will also be available for their vital clash against Liverpool this weekend. Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, midfielder Samir Nasri and defenders Pablo Zabaletta and Vincent Kompany are still doubts for the weekend fixture. But the Manchester club will be without the midfielders Evans, Delph and Barker.

Daniel Sturridge’s return to training, handed Klopp a major boost ahead of the weekend’s clash. England duo James Milner and Jordan Ibe are also in contention to play after resuming their full training on Monday. Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho damaged his ligament against Crystal palace last week, and will not be available for the weekend clash against Manchester City and Croatian defender Dejan Lovren will be in the contention to take his place in the starting line-up. Henderson, Flanagan, Ings, Rossiter and Gomez are still in long term absentees list.
