Out of the nine Liga BBVA (first division of Spanish
domestic football) awards, Barcelona won 5, two of those were won by their
talisman Lionel Messi.

At the event, Messi expressed his disappointment about Luis Suarez being left out of the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2015 shortlist. He said, "I also would have liked to
share the event with Luis because he also deserved to be there following his
great performance during last season.”
Messi also showed his respect for Cristiano Ronaldo's nomination for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2015 nomination by saying, "But we must also
accept the fact that Cristiano is a true deserver of the nomination. So we will
go to enjoy the moment like we did every time we went there."
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was awarded the Best Coach for
his treble winning campaign.
