According to recent reports, it is believed that Didier Drogba may make another return to Chelsea, although this time as an assistant to Guus Hiddink. It is certainly good news for Chelsea fans who had recently seen the duo spend time with owner Roman Abramovich in the match against Sunderland.
It has been reported that the Chelsea legend who currently plays for Montreal Impact may end his contract and move to London to become a part of Chelsea's backroom staff. It will definitely be a lift for the current squad given the belief that Drogba was certainly one of the strongest figures in the dressing room last season when Chelsea won the title.
The optimism around Stamford Bridge has certainly been visible on the pitch with the team unbeaten for four games having comfortably beaten high flying Crystal Palace in their last game. Hiddink would certainly love the presence of Drogba in his staff with the Dutch manager previously stating the importance of Drogba as an ambassador for the club.
Although nothing has been confirmed from either side, there is a strong belief that the Ivory Coast international would retire from his playing career and pursue the role of an assistant to Guus Hiddink.
