Celta Vigo striker Nolito has certainly been in demand in this transfer window. He has been tracked by the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona, who are very much interested in adding the in-form striker, into their ranks.
It seems that Liverpool have also joined the race in the pursuit of the Spanish International. Liverpool are apparently finding it tough to land their prime target Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian club have been quite adamant in their demands and it seems that the Reds may back off from the deal.
Hence, Liverpool are now looking at other options with Nolito being one of the preferred targets. The Spanish International has been in good form for Celta Vigo and has a release clause of around £14 million. The clause is certainly one which Liverpool would have no problem in matching and they are reports suggesting that the Merseyside club has already offered to pay Celta Vigo the amount of the release clause.
Barcelona has also been interested in the striker but it seems they were keen on a loan initially which Celta Vigo does not prefer. Hence, it would not a be surprise if the Spanish club accepts the offer provided by Liverpool.
