The rumors pertinent to the move of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira to Chelsea have been doing the rounds for quite some time. However, there are reports stating that the deal is quite close to completion in the January transfer window itself.
It is being reported that Chelsea will have to shell out around £30 million in order to land the star striker. Hiddink has been concerned with respect to the fitness of his forwards. With Falcao not really in the manager's plans and Remy facing fitness issues, the manager is concerned that one injury to Costa could make the season even worse for the champions.
Hiddink had earlier stated that if they get the right replacement for Remy, they will let the forward leave. With the way things are looking, it may seem that the manager may have Teixeira as his replacement.
The forward has been in spectacular form in the Ukrainian league this season and the last time Chelsea brought a former Shakhtar player in Willian, it definitely worked well for them. The player has been under the radar under Mourinho as well and it can be concluded that the Chelsea management regards him quite high.
