Another Dutch man who was considered to be one of the most prolific goalscorers for the Red Devils, Nistelrooy was signed by United in 2001 after a long saga, mostly due to the injury record of the player. However, in his five seasons with the club, he showed exactly why United signed him.
According to Sir Alex, Nistelrooy was not a complete forward and never really liked being involved in the build-up play but the forward was a fox in the box. His positioning in the box was exquisite and hence, the Dutchman was one of the best forwards in his time at the club.
Nistelrooy scored 95 Premier League goals in 150 appearances for the club.
