It seems former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers still harbors certain ill feelings towards the Merseyside club.
Rodgers has criticized the transfer policy of the Liverpool board. The former Swansea manager has questioned the fact that the Liverpool board have a policy pertinent to transfers which is more inclined towards generating more income rather than winning trophies.
He stated that the club needs to look at the current model. He added that the club has to buy the best players irrespective of their age in order to win trophies. He felt that the club had a policy of buying players at a young age, developing them and selling them at a higher price in order to gain a desired profit.
The former Reading manager felt that clubs like Liverpool should have a balanced model wherein they be ready to break the bank for the best players in the world as well as develop young players.
Rodgers has often been criticized for his transfer dealings during his tenure with Liverpool. His outright successes have only been the likes of Coutinho and Sturridge. It seems that the manager still blames the management for his failings at the club and has got a new reason with respect to that issue.
