The fact that Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure may leave the club at the end of the season is not a surprise.
The agent of the Ivory Coast midfielder had stated that his client may leave the club at the end of the campaign after the Citizens announced the arrival of former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
Toure has certainly been a shadow of himself this season with the midfielder often looking disinterested in certain games.
The fact that things are going wrong is certainly there to see when the former African footballer of the year was out muscled by young and hungry Tottenham players in the latest home defeat that City suffered at the hands of the north London club.
It seems that the loss of the Premier league would be a gain to the MLS. Players from big European clubs often see the MLS as a place where they can play in the twilight of their career. Orlando City and New York Red Bulls are two teams who are very much interested in bringing the former Barcelona player to the MLS.
With Toure certainly looking a shadow of himself in this season, a move to the MLS may just be the right move for the Ivory Coast midfielder.
