Ranieri linked with the Italian managerial job

Claudio Ranieri has been able to prove his detractors hugely wrong this season with his Leicester City team sitting at the top of the Premier league table in March and very much considered as one of the title favorites.

Italy are considering a shock move to make Claudio Ranieri their new coach after Euro 2016
"The Tinkerman", as he was so infamously called due to his tinkering with substitutions during his time at Chelsea, was expected to be a flop in his second coming in England. However, he has transformed the nearly relegated Foxes to title contenders in just one season.

The brilliant work of Ranieri seems to be noted by the Italian Football Federation. Current Italy manager Antonio Conte is widely expected to take over the reigns at Chelsea after the Euros and it seems, Ranieri is considered as one of the candidates to be replacing him.

The former Roma manager has certainly not lost touch and has been able to widely adjust his tactics, as it has been observed in his counter attacking approach adopted at Leicester City.

However, the job at Leicester certainly does not have as much pressure as the job of managing one's own country. Will he be able to handle the pressure of coaching a national team as huge as Italy is another matter altogether.
