Abramovich ready to pay £97 million for Pogba

It seems Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to break the bank for French midfielder Paul Pogba.

Roman Abramovich is willing to smash the world transfer record and meet Paul Pogba’s £97m buy-out clause.
Chelsea recently announced the appointment of Italy manager Antonio Conte as their next full time manager. Conte will take over the reigns at Chelsea after the Euros and it was he who signed Pogba for Juventus from Manchester United.

However, Pogba reportedly has a huge buyout clause of around £97 million and it seems that the Russian is ready to pay the amount. If Chelsea indeed end up paying the amount, it would smash the world transfer record.

It has been reported that the Juventus delegates were asked to come to London with respect to the discussion regarding the potential transfer of Pogba. Although Juventus would like to keep hold of their star midfielder, it would be impossible for them to do so if Chelsea meet the buyout clause.

The Premier league champions have endured a lacklustre season and are in need for a squad overhaul. Abramovich believes that the signing of Pogba can be the perfect catalyst for the same.
