Manchester United are very keen to boost their defensive department and have identified Alex Sandro of Juventus as one of their prime targets.
Earlier in the season, there were reports suggesting that United are looking to improve their left side of defence. It seems that the Red Devils are interested in signing Juventus defender Alex Sandro as a possible replacement for Luke Shaw who has been struggling with injuries.
The Brazilian defender has been impressive for the Italian giants and has been touted as a long term replacement for Patrice Evra. However, one of the key blocks for the transfer to go ahead is the asking price by Juventus. There have been reports that Juventus are asking for a fee of around £40 million for the 25 year old.
Such a high asking price would certainly put off the Premier league heavyweights, who may look for other options. Apart from United, their cross town rivals City are also reported to be interested in the Brazilian defender.
