PFA Player of the Year Mahrez thanks his team mates

Newly crowned PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez is certainly delighted with recognition bestowed upon him.

Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez wins PFA Player of the Year award 
After being hugely instrumental in their latest win over Swansea, Mahrez collected the award in London. Mahrez has been exceptional for the Foxes in this historic campaign.

The Algerian International has 17 goals and 11 assists for this season and has been hugely influential for Leicester this season. However, Mahrez, who was signed from Le Havre, thanked his team mates for the support that they provided during the course of the season. He believes that the credit should go to his team mates.

Mahrez stated that he was happy that the players have voted for him since it means that they feel that he has been really good this season. He beat the likes of Harry Kane, Dmitri Payet and his team mates Jamie Vardy and N' Golo Kante in order to win this award.

The PFA Young Player of the award was won by Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli, who scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in his debut season in the Premier league.
