Real Madrid centre back Sergio Ramos has stated that he wants the best players at Real Madrid and believes that Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea belongs to that category.
Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea has been in outstanding form for United this season and is considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He was very much linked with a move to Madrid last summer. However, the move failed due to some transaction issues on deadline day.
However, current Real Madrid no 1 Keylor Navas, who was supposed to move to United as part of the deal, has been impressive for the Los Blancos in this campaign, something even which Ramos has agreed.
Although the defender stated that mentioning the signing of De Gea would be an insult to the current goalkeepers at his club, he believes that De Gea is the best goalkeeper around and his club should be looking to sign the former Atletico Madrid shot stopper.
De Gea signed a new contract with United after missing out on signing for Madrid last summer and if Madrid indeed want their man, they would have to shell out a huge amount of money.
