Earlier in the campaign it was reported that Leicester
manager Claudio Ranieri had thought of signing Francesco Totti after his
contract expires at Roma.

Ranieri believed that the addition of Totti next season
would provide the required experience for the Foxes in the Champions league.
However, it seems the Roma legend has other ideas. It has
been reported that Totti prefers a move to to the United States and has been in
contact with New York Cosmos. Hence, the possibility of the Roma legend signing
for Leicester looks very slim.
The contract of Totti expires this season and manager
Luciano Spalletti has not shown any inclination of extending the deal. As a
result, the possibility of Totti ending his 24 year old association with Roma
looks very likely.
Ranieri was hoping to give Totti a one year deal at
Leicester but it seems the association wont work out since Totti prefers a move
to the United States and to participate in the North American Soccer League.
