Jermain Defoe has signed a new one-year deal with Rangers and has moved into a player/coach role.
The 38-year-old has made 72 appearances for Rangers and scored 32 goals. He joined the club in January 2019.

Meanwhile, Rangers have confirmed Bongani Zungu and Greg Stewart have left the club. Zungu – who was on loan from Amiens – returns to his parent club while Stewart also leaves after two season at Ibrox.
