Manchester United are “getting closer” to the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
The proposed deal is believed to be in the region of £77million with the clubs finalizing the payment structure and add-ons.
Dortmund wanted more of the fee paid up front and it is thought the clubs are close to a compromise with United front loading the fee - but paying less overall.
It is thought Dortmund’s asking price at the start of the window was in excess of £85m, over £30m less than the £108m valuation last summer.
Once everything between the clubs is agreed, Sancho will join subject to a medical and finalizing personal terms, which are not expected to be a problem.
An agreement is likely to happen once Sancho’s participation at the Euros with England is over, with all parties now confident the deal will get done.
