The 23-years-old striker joined Benfica in 2010, signing a five-years-deal with the club. He scored 27 goals in 67 matches for the club. He also had an unsuccessful loan spell at Bolton Wanderers, scoring just 1 goal in 17 appearances.
Rodrigo is the first choice when it comes to Spain youth international. He has scored 15 goals in 16 appearances with U21 side and has also won the U21 European Championship in 2013.
Spanish football team manager Vicente del Bosque recently revealed that he has been following the young striker for a while now and the striker could possibly get a senior call-up soon.
Arsenal are reportedy willing to bring him to Emirates Stadium for €24 million.
