5. Miralem Pjanic
Miralem Pjanic looked absolutely deadly in midfield for AS Roma last season and contributed to the clubs win many a time through his flurry of assists .He showed wonderful dribbling as well as passing skills last season and perfectly played the role of a play maker in the Roma line up. Although his club never won any big trophies last season,Pjanic was simply outstanding and deserved to feature in the Ballon d'Or nominations list for sure.
